John Matthews (1940-) is an historian, folklorist and author. He has been a full time writer since 1980 and has produced over ninety books on the Arthurian Legends and Grail Studies, as well as short stories and a volume of poetry. He has devoted much of the past thirty years to the study of Arthurian Traditions and myth in general. John and Caitlín Matthews have written more than seventy books, including children’s storybooks about knights, princesses, ghosts, giants, and wizards from Celtic, Arthurian, shamanic, and other traditions. They live in Oxford, England.
Tomislav Tomic graduated from the Academy of Fine Art in Zagreb, 2001. He loves making picture books and had already had work published when he was in high school. His exquisite, intensely detailed pen and ink drawings, based on the renaissance engraving style, perfectly illustrate tales of magic and fantasy with an appeal to adults and children alike. Other clients include Macmillan, Royal Mail (Mythical Beasts stamps) Scholastic and Museum of London. Tomislav lives in Croatia.
